Clauses

Often, there are groups of words that contain a verbal idea, but are not a complete sentence.  These clauses perform various functions in the main sentence.

The three most common types of clauses are:
1. Participle Clause
2. Infinitive Clause
3. Relative Clause

Clauses:
Ideas built around a verbal idea that function as part of the main sentence.

These three types of clauses will be discussed on the following pages.
