Conjunctions:
Ideas are connected in a great variety of ways.  Conjunctions are connecting words that join ideas (words, clauses, sentences, and paragraphs) together.  The way the ideeas are connected depends on the meaning of the conjunction.  Some conjunctions add ideas together ('and'), some contrast ideas ('or', 'but') some show a logical relationship between ideas ('because', 'therefore').
