The Adjectives are highlighted in the following sentences.
Describing a noun.
Adjectives:
Adjectives give information that describes a noun, usually by limiting which one(s) of a larger group to which the sentence is referring. e.g. "Which ball?" - "The white ball." An adjective describes a particular trait of the noun to more precisely define it. A noun may be described by more than one adjective. The words "the" and "a" can be considered a specific type of adjective. Possessive words (words ending in 's) describe to whom the noun belongs.
Hint: Adjectives can be located by asking "Which (noun)? e.g. "Which ball?" "Which head?"
