Clauses: Supplemental Verbal Ideas
Often, there are groups of words which contain a verbal idea, but are not a complete sentence on their own. These clauses perform various functions in the main sentence, somehow supplementing the main sentence idea. The three most common types of clauses are:
Clauses:
Ideas built around a verbal idea that function as part of the main sentence.
Clauses that are built around a Participle.
Clauses that are built around an Infinitive.
Clauses connected to the main sentence by a Relative pronoun.
