Class attendance-
Student is to be present, to be on time, and to actively participate in class discussion and activity.

Bible Reading and Reading Reports-
Students will read the entirety of the Old Testament Historical Books.
The reading is to be done before the assigned class date.
The readings are listed on the Course Calendar.
The reading will be reported on your honor as part of the textbook reading quizzes.
Textbook Reading and Reading Quizzes-
Students will read the assigned portions of the course textbooks.
This will be done before the assigned class date.
The assigned readings are listed on the Course Calendar.
On most weeks, class will begin with a short quiz on the assigned reading.
A study guide for the Howard textbook is posted on Populi and the course website.
Practice quizzes for the Howard textbook will be posted on Populi and the course website.
Scripture Devotion/Prayer Journals-
In conjunction with the Scripture reading, each student should use the reading as a devotional practice.
This ideally includes listening to God speaking through the text and prayer.
Each student will write a journal of their devotional and prayer time from the Scripture reading.

Please keep each entry to approximately ½ to 1 page in length for each Biblical Book.
Due Tuesday Jan. 27, Feb. 17, and Apr. 7 at 8:00am.
Term Project in Two Parts-
Students will complete a term project on a portion of the Historical books consisting of two distinct but related assignments
Exegesis of Narratives Assignment-
Student will do a detailed exegesis of an assigned passage using the method taught in class.

Due Tues. Feb. 10th 8am.
Exegesis of Project Passage-
Students will choose a project passage from a list of passages in the Historical Books and do a detailed exegesis of that passage using the method taught in class.

Due Tues. Mar 24th 8am.
Midterm Exam-
A 55 minute exams covering all of the course material up to that point.

Final Exam-
A 100 minute exam covering all of the course material.
